The Kites
The kites I'm making now go right back to the first ones I made in the 80's using paper and bamboo. These are wall-pieces and are not meant to be flown.
I print my photographs onto ink-jet ready watercolor paper using archival inks. Like the traditional Japanese kite, the 'bones' are bamboo that I split and sand to a smooth surface before I carefully glue them to the paper. The result is piece of art that will bring beauty and whimsy into your home for many years.
All kites are designed, crafted, and signed in my Vermont studio.
